People may first know Michaele Pradia, but Summa Praesidium LLC is the name behind her commitment to insurance and benefits guidance, professional excellence, and lasting client relationships.
Our name draws on two Latin words: summa, suggesting the highest or greatest, and praesidium, meaning protection, defense, or safeguard. Together, they express what our business strives to represent: the highest standard of protection.
For us, that is a standard of conduct, not a promise that any policy can eliminate life's uncertainty. It means listening first, explaining coverage and professional services clearly, respecting each person's decisions, and following through.
From her early work in healthcare at age 15 to her role as a business founder who represents the fourth generation of her family in insurance, Michaele has held one belief: people deserve to be treated as people, not policy numbers or transactions.

Michaele Pradia understands that behind every question about protection is a person with responsibilities, concerns, and a life that extends far beyond an insurance policy.
Her career began in healthcare at the age of 15, establishing a foundation as a healthcare professional that she strengthened through decades of experience in patient care, clinical education, and organizational leadership. That experience continues to inform her work in independent insurance brokerage and entrepreneurship. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to understanding people, sharing knowledge, and providing meaningful guidance.
As a fourth generation insurance professional and independent insurance broker, Michaele works with individuals, families, and employees across Public Sector and Commercial markets. Her approach emphasizes listening, education, and helping people understand their options without unnecessary pressure.
As Founder and CEO of Summa Praesidium LLC, she leads a multidisciplinary business consulting and professional services company based in California grounded in education, wellness, protection, and family legacy.
Her work with clients currently includes insurance and benefits guidance through her established professional relationships. Her broader professional experience also informs the multidisciplinary services being developed under Summa Praesidium LLC.

Are business consulting services available now?
Business consulting remains part of Summa Praesidium LLC's broader professional services vision, but dedicated consulting services are not currently available for booking through this website. Business Systems & AI is in development and marked Coming Soon. Insurance and benefits guidance is currently available through Michaele Pradia in her licensed professional capacity.
Do I have to buy a policy to ask a question?
No. An initial conversation can be about understanding available coverage, terminology, or the next step. You decide if and when you want to move forward.
Can you help me understand insurance I already have?
Yes. For existing clients, we can review available policy information and discuss how to locate documents, understand benefits, or navigate a claims process. Claims and coverage decisions are made by the insurer under the policy terms.
Who will I be working with for my insurance and benefits needs?
You'll work directly with me, Michaele Pradia, a licensed insurance broker, an insurance representative for Colonial Life, and a Public Sector Benefit Specialist.
My professional relationships include Pradia & Pradia Associates, Smart Choice, BackNine, and contracted life and property and casualty insurance carriers. Property & Casualty Guidance through this website is coming soon. For services currently available, I'll explain which agency, insurer, or benefits program is involved before you make a decision.
Do you work for my employer or a government agency?
No. You may meet me at your workplace, but I don't work for your employer or a government agency. I'm Michaele Pradia, a licensed insurance broker, a Colonial Life insurance representative, and a Public Sector Benefit Specialist.
When voluntary or supplemental insurance options are available through a workplace program, I help eligible employees understand what is offered, how the coverage works, what it costs, and how it may fit alongside existing benefits. My role is to give you clear information, not to speak for your employer or make decisions for you.
I also help individuals and families outside workplace programs through my other professional insurance relationships. Whether we meet at your workplace, by phone, over Zoom, or in person by appointment, I'll explain my role, identify the insurer providing any proposed coverage, and help you understand key terms before you decide.
My approach is simple: transparency, education, and respect for your choices.
How can I meet with you?
I work by appointment, and when we meet in person, I come to an agreed location rather than asking you to visit an office. That might be your workplace when arrangements allow, or another location we agree upon. We can also connect by phone or Zoom.
I am based in Roseville, California 95747, and I do not currently have a public office for unscheduled visits. Whether you're exploring protection options, reviewing benefits you already have, or simply have questions, we'll take the time to talk things through. Real conversations. Clear answers. No pressure.
Can I send medical records or my Social Security number by email?
Please don't send sensitive documents, Social Security numbers, medical records, or bank details through ordinary email or the initial booking request. We'll discuss an appropriate secure method if needed.
